Be sure you understand what’s included in any plans and evaluate whether they are offer anything you couldn’t get using commercial services, such as Home Instead, on an as-needed basis rather than pay their ongoing monthly fee.

The largest senior community providers including Brookdale, Erickson and Emeritus have more limited programs that provide home health care comparable to the franchise care givers such as Home Instead or Visiting Angels.
